River Rafting

During my birthday dinner, many of us discussed the adventure of River Rafting. A group of us decide to hit the River early August. This group was first consisted of Samson, Erica, Rodney, Collins, Roger, Pauline and Benny. Due to "new" events, Collins and Erica have to drop out. Pauline, being the only girl left, decided to make this a guys trip.

There were a few worries since None of us are life guards. The good thing is that most of us are fully insured (If you aren't, then you'll need to call me!). However, we were afraid that Benny might threw up due to his history...we'll cover that later.

The trip was that Rodney and Benny will pick me up in Hayward at 6AM. The night before around midnight, Rodney called and told me to move up the time till 5:30AM and they show up the next day around 5:15ish. I later find out that Rodney didn't sleep the night before. He was just TOO EXCITED.

After we picked up Roger, it was a 2 1/2 drive toward Sacramento. We did stop by McD's for a BIG Breakfast. Good thing we ate, or else Benny might have fainted. Well, Rodney would have fainted too.

So here are some of the highlights:

1) The bathroom STINKED. Many fainted before they were in the river.
2) Rodney, Benny, Roger and Me took a while to SYNC our paddle strokes.
3) All of us did Fell into the River - Caused by the River Guy, Matt.
4) Rodney was dosing off after lunch. In fact, he couldn't bucket the life jacket after lunch.
5) Oh, Benny shaved his legs, which was a surprise to us.
6) Roger knows some R-rated jokes. He probably have more since he usually have to tell "A Joke A Day" to Pauline before he sleeps.
7) We DIDN'T make it to Cache Creek, just to set the record straight with the wiffy.
8) We'll probably do another (Married) GUYS ONLY outdoor event next year. Maybe we'll take the Hooter plane across the east coast for our next trip.
